Do I need a database?

No. Without Upstash Redis, wishlists use self-contained compressed token IDs (mutations may rotate the id). With UPSTASH_REDIS_REST_URL and UPSTASH_REDIS_REST_TOKEN, short stable 8-character IDs are used — preferred for share links.

How do I share a new mum gift wishlist?

Create a shopping list on the home page, then share the shopper link (/w/[id]/shop) so friends and family can browse gifts and open Amazon.se buy links.
